What’s Coming up In February!

Hey there and welcome to my new website/blog!

Given that it’s the beginning of February and and I (finally!) have a new website, I thought now would be a good time to share with you what’s coming up for Little Miss Mannie in terms of designs and patterns! Plus, I have some pattern refreshes I’d like to talk about too, so lets dive into it!

Coming up this week is the release of my Groovy Waves Blanket pattern! I have been working on this pattern all throughout January and I feel confident now that it’s the best it could be! This blanket pattern can be made from a range of different sizes, from baby blankets to king sized bed spreads!

I am so excited to share this pattern with you and I hope you check it out once it’s released!

If you like the look of the Groovy Waves Blanket, but you don’t want to make a blanket right now, then don’t worry because the Groovy Waves Collection of patterns is coming soon! This collection includes the blanket pattern, plus a matching cushion, a cowl, and a scarf/shawl! You can get an exclusive sneak peek at the patterns in the collection to the right!

All patterns will be sold separately and as a bundle on Etsy!

Which leads me to my next exciting thing coming up; my patterns will be returning to Etsy! While I do feel the website has it’s issues, I think it’s important to try my best to branch out and have my patterns in as many places as possible.

Having my patterns on Etsy will allow me to have the option of selling bundles of my patterns, which means it’ll be easier (and cheaper) for you to get your hands on my pattern collections!

The rest of my time lately has been focused on pattern refreshes! It’s been over a year and a half since I published my first pattern and I have learnt a lot as a crocheter and a designer since then. I wouldn’t say that my older patterns are bad, but they are lacking a lot of information that I feel would be useful for any crocheter when making an object. So, that’s why I'm giving them a refresh! I’m making new samples, completely rewriting the patterns, taking new step by step photos; they’re gonna be like completely new patterns!

At some point I would like to refresh all of my patterns (even if it’s just to update them to my new pattern format), but right now I’m only focusing on my first three patterns; the Dreamy Petal Shawl (pictured on the right - being renamed to Petal Shawl cause the other name is too long), the Apple Berry Baby Blanket (also too long of a name so it’s being renamed to the Berry Blanket), and the Polka Dotty Baby Blanket (same name, just dropping the ‘baby’).

Those who have previously purchased any of these patterns (or any of my patterns, for that matter) will get a copy of the refreshed pattern free of charge!

There are a lot of blankets being made at the moment which is not what I expected to be making in 2024, but I’ve been really enjoying making them lately! I do also have plans of garments coming soon too (like the cardigan shown on the right), although none of them are ready for testing. All of the garment patterns I have designed lately all need a second sample making which brings progress to a little bit of a halt, but once I’ve finished focusing on these pattern refreshes, then I’ll be making a start on the additional samples needed for my garment designs!

There’s a lot of exciting things happening (and some things I can’t even tell you about yet!) and I hope you’re just as excited as me to see all of this happen!
